Когда я в прошлом семестре делала реферат и писала работу про Digitalisierung, я очень надеялась пропихнуть туда главку про Digital Divide. В реферате не хватило времени, а в работе просто не вписалось в концепцию. И вот в этом семестре я по стечению обстоятельств рассказываю и пишу прямо таки отдельно про Digital Divide 
Так вот. Читала как раз статью про DD в Китае. Там про влияние всяких социодемографических параметров на использование интернета. Читаю - и прямо всё как про Россию. Задним числом вспомнила приведенные в этой же статье культурные параметры для Китая и осознала, что мы очень похожи. Получается классно - если культурные параметры по большей части совпадают, то и установки, явления, закономерности тоже будут сходиться.
Сейчас нет времени пересказывать, поэтому вот, выдрано с мясом:
On the socioeconomic dimension, gender and education positively predict Internet use. Marital status and age are negatively related to Internet use.
Marriage tends to turn people away from the Internet. In the interviews, people empathize that the Internet as a new media is just a “gadget” for young people, such as students who are not mature yet. After marriage, a person has family and starts serious career.
On the cultural dimension, personal relationships and high context communication negatively predict Internet use. People who value personal relationships tend not to use the Internet. In the interviews, people view the Internet as a barrier to their face-to-face
personal relationships although communication through the Internet can help interactions among friends. In the literature, studies have proved that the use of computers and the Internet does not help family relationships in certain cultures.

забавно - я считаю себя достаточно интернет-отсталой, но есть масса людей кто вообще в нем не шарит
