March Madness - Final Round

Что-то я разразилась постами сегодня. Ничо скоро уеду на несколько часов, и все от меня отдохнут.
Я ж тут весь март участвовала в этой March Madness на Buffyfest-е, где они выбирали the ultimate favourite Whedon character. Кто-нибудь еще участвовал?
Сейчас остались Спайк и Баффи. Я проголосила за Спайка уже. Результат предсказать не берусь. Оч интересно!

Fox Cancels Joss Whedon

Despite early indications to the contrary from network executives, FOX announced that Joss Whedon will be cancelled, most likely by marketing-assisted suicide.

This decision marks the end of a long and troubled relationship between the studio and the writer-director, beginning with FOX denying Whedon food and drink, leading up to a gradual reduction in his daily allowance of oxygen.

“I am so not breathing,” Whedon confirmed. “This is me, all asphyxiating.”

Outraged fans claim that his career has been played out of order, and have created a “Save Joss” website, noting the success of the “Don’t Assassinate J.J. Abrams” campaign.

Ё-моё! Я нашла у себя энцу!!! Главное, в упор не помню когда, зачем, при каких обстоятельствах, к чему вообще. Он явно недописанный, но стоит ли говорить, что я не помню, чем я собиралась его закончить. Хотя в принципе, идейка не сказать, чтобы плохая, хотя и не богатая - но если развивать ее так, как я это себе сейчас представляю, то это получится еще до фига букаф. Неохота. К тому же, то, что началось как энца, энцой явно не останется, и тогда будет явная inconsistency. Короче, выложу-ка я на всеобщее обозрение, а там посмотрим.

He was a very good-looking fella. She wasn't used to guys of his caliber giving her sexual attention. That was weird. Awkward. And uncomfortable. For her. He, he was like a fish in the water. And heck. It was also enjoyable. After all, a never-before, gotta cut a girl some slack. Xander is cute, but he never *really* was into her. Well, those always get you a bit, or quite a lot, worked up, and Willow has never done a spell with a man before. They sat opposite each other, and did the spell. It was intense. Willow felt that tingling in her belly, and wetness in her underpants. Her breathing was somewhat uneven, and she was very hot. When the spell was done, she opened her eyes, and had to lick her lips, they were so dry. And this gorgeous guy looked at her with eyes sort of clouded, not exactly focused. That long-forgotten look Oz had when they made love. He watched her lick her lips. She noticed it, and panicked. Can't give the guy false hope, lead him on, or whatever. She scrambled to her feet.

He didn't give up though. He actually called her once the smoke cleared and asked her out. She said no, that was her first instinctive reaction, but he was so luring with what they could talk about and some amulets he wanted to show her. She couldn't resist the curiousity. It's not a date, she said to herself. It's a friendly get-together between two witches... errr... witch-crafters. As she wanted to pay for herself, he said, I've got it.

Hey, Willow, don't go all feminist on me, i totally embrace women's rights and independence, but i want to do something nice for such a lovely girl, so why can't i treat you to a lunch, for crying out loud.

And so was it. They went out, they hung out. He kept being nice to her, but still not quite in a purely friendly way. He was courting her! Apparently, he thought she was worth all that trouble. He kissed her on the cheek when they met and when they parted. It was so confusing. She was gay! Well, yeah, there was a time when she wasn't, but then she was, for quite a long time. And she thought of herself as gay, and it was easy, because she had never been in a situation like this.
Buffy saw the kiss.

She avoided him for a while for some time, until they were both invited to a party. He kissed her on the cheek and acted as though nothing had happened. She felt relaxation, if only for a small amount of time. But the tensity grew, and to relax again - she had a few. Which resulted in further kissage. They were sitting on the couch, talking about something, she turned to him and suddenly saw that he'd moved his face closer to hers. He brushed her cheek with his fingers, and said quietly,
No pressure.
Huh?
And he was kissing her. First gently, only on the lips, but her head felt all wobbly, her lips were soft and she gave in, and let his tongue slip into her mouth. He was a good kisser, not too pushy, not too wide, not too wet. Of course it was different than kissing a girl. His lips were harder, and his skin was rougher. But his mouth was so tender. And so was his hand brushing through her hair, caressing the back of her head. She felt all tingly. Buffy's right, when you like the person, and when they're good at what they are doing, it doesn't matter if they are male or female. He stopped the kiss.

He grinned and kissed her with renewed passion. She responded likewise.
This is as great as i imagined it would be.
She didn't know what to say. She was all aroused, and drunk, and a little embarassed by what she felt. And a little scared by how much she felt that. And really hopeful that he'd find a really suave way to get into bed with her right now. She turned to magic to convey what she couldn't bring herself to say. She sent some good vibes his way. He looked iintimately into her eyes.

He indicated the ceiling with his eyes, his expression suggestive. She double-checked. Did she want this? Heck yeah. She nodded with a weak smile. He kissed her once more lightly on the lips, stood up, never letting go of her hand, so she stood up too, and they headed out of the room and upstairs.

Dollhouse - 1.07 Echos

Наконец-то собралась посмотреть второй раз! А то первый был такой rush-rush, лишь бы найти, лишь бы успеть - ревьюшку хотелось писать после нормального просмотра.
Так вот. Да, эпизод хороший, на порядок лучше первых пяти. Смешно, конечно. У меня мааааленькая претензия к игре актеров - когда в драматических series делают специально goofy эпизод, все это преувеличенно смешное и ООСное поведение смотрится немножко как натяжка. Но в принципе, получаемое удовольствие позволяет закрыть на все глаза. В конце концов, Band Candy, Tabula Rasa & Spin The Bottle все входят в почетный список моих любимых эпизодов. Возможно в Доллхаусе для этого еще немножко рановато, но и сам Whedon говорил, что они в процессе придумывания всяких сюжетиков постоянно всегда думали о них for later, а потом решали сделать уже сейчас, потому что надо bring in the big guns.
По сюжету претензия к оооочень странному способу, выбранному классным черным мальчиком для заполучения наркотика в цепкие лапки. На что он собственно рассчитывал? Что ему попадется вот такая глюканутая Echo и приведет его куда надо? Или я что-то пропустила?
И каким образом все-таки передается наркотик? По щучьему веленью?
А противодядие-то они нашли или нет?
Начало очень понравилось - к тому же, по-моему, фраза 'Nothing is what it appears to be' - это с чего начался пилот. Хай класс! А вот это - 'We've been doing this dance for 2 years' - навела на мысль, что Баллард идет сейчас как раз той дорожкой, которая привела Кэролайн в Доллхаус. Т.е. она 2 года мыкалась, расследовала, нашла их, но в процессе они очень здорово с ней наигрались, расшатали ей нервишки, разрушили жизнь и сцапали. Ждем спускания Балларда во тьму, Wesley-style.
Понравилось, когда Виктор и Сьерра одновременно глючили, каждый из них представлял на месте другого чела из флэшбэка.
Классно, что авторы устояли перед искушением во время глюков показать, что Виктору нравится Сьерра.
Не знаю, как относиться к тому, что фраза Элис 'I don't think I know how to make a fist' не вылилась потом в капитальный мордобой. С одной стороны, спасибо, что обманули ожидания, а с другой - а зачем тогда там эта фраза вообще была?
Не нравится, что все-таки ритуал active-handler бросили нах.
Не нравится, что куда-то начисто исчезла Сондерс. Совершенно неправдоподобно.
Элайза выглядела офигительно во флэшбэках, а вот в наст.времени костюмчик был зашибись, даром что (кажись) из заставки. Присмотревшись повнимательнее, полезла в имдб - и что ж? Конечно, тетенька, которая подарила нам мэловские штаны с подтяжками. Черт.
"Агент Виктор" снес крышу. No more target confusion. Да и вообще глаз попривык к новым физиям, уже и Тофер, и Баллард не такими уж плохими кажутся. Вот только Сиерра так и не нравится.

The Creep Factor

So why are little children creepy? Because they are so little!

More on the topic, dogs are even creepier. It's been hovering somewhere at the back of my mind for a while now, and yesterday i got the last straw. Now i'm officially creeped out by dogs. Especially big, "smart" ones.
First, a friend told me how her boy-dog was jealous of her husband and how he behaved towards her.
Second was when i actually witnessed a dog understanding words (not commands) and reacting.
And finally last night i saw a clip on youtube where the owner kept saying 'I love you' in a sort of sing-song voice and he kept howling in the same sort of pattern/intonaition and one time came very close to the actual words.
JESUS FREAKING CHRIST!!!! Ain't it scary? Ain't it weird?Ain't it majorly CREEPY???

Buffy Unaired Pilot

Ознакомилась вот с обязательной программой баффо-маниака.
Что ж, could be worse. Но ненамного ))
Willow sucks, большое спасибо тем, кто решил ее заменить.
Xander is the cutest thing ever.
The rest f the bunch are pretty much the same. Xander's the same too, i just needed to get the cute thing out in the open.
Что было особенно приятно, так это неожиданные шуточки, which didn't make it into the pilot.
The absolute best:
Вампир бросает Баффи об стену. Баффи с трудом встает.
BUFFY: Aw. That was my favourite spine.
Очень жалко эту реплику.
И еще понравися момент, когда в библиотеке она разговаривает с Джайлзом, говорит ему, что doesn't care, разворачивается уходить и вдруг лихо так, с перекувырком прыгает через перила. Ни один из них не реагирует, они просто продолжают спорить. По-моему, классненько.
Время потрачено не зря.
